Laura Taylor

Dear family & friends of Carla, I am so very saddened for your loss of Carla. She was always so kind to me. I was glad to have her as a neighbor in Deadwood for the years we lived there. It was always a pleasure to see her & Francis when they came into the clinic for appointments and I had the opportunity to visit with them and check them in for appointments. I will always love you Carla and remember your kindness towards me. Rest in Peace. Cheryl, Children & Grandchildren of Carla, you all will be in my thoughts during this difficult time. Warmest Regards Always, Laura T:)

So surprised & saddened to read about Carla. This girl was one in a million! My mother Kathryn so loved her. They are drinking wine together now, & preparing wonderful bling angle wings for us when we join them! My thoughts & prayers are with your family for the days ahead you must face without this wonderful lady. Please remember her spirit & soul are waiting for all of you!

Carla was a beautiful woman inside and out. I always loved her style. She use to come to Dr. Guilberts office in Deadwood where I worked and we were able to help her select glasses for her or others. I just saw her at the cancer center about three years ago while my mom was undergoing some treatments. She looked great She shared her story of her cancer with me/as I just had breast cancer. Beautiful at all times. I loved her style and would shop the New York Store often when lived in Deadwood. Loved the store, she had a great style about her. I like to dress as she would tell you to be put together at all times. God has another angel in his arms. Prayers for all of you. God Bless. Her Beautiful smile will be missed.

I feel so privileged and honored to have been able to call Carla friend. Memories from the 80s with dance classes, stopping in at the New York Shop after teaching home ec in Lead, and then at Carla's House. She was an extraordinary lady in so many ways. She was strong, witty, creative, and always went above and beyond to make others feel special. She is now, once again, with Francis in heaven smiling on us, telling us to make the most of each day. She will always be remembered. Peace.
