As a child I loved our family trips to SD and the time we got to spend with Shirley and Don. One of my fondest memories of Shirley was the chocolate frosting saltine cracker snacks she used to make. So simple, but wonderful. A couple of years ago my mother and I stayed a night with Shirley and Don, and on the counter was a large plate of those snacks. Just the thought of it makes me smile. For all the family, you are in our hearts and thoughts, Shirley was truly a wonderful, outspoken, beautiful woman. She will be missed. Jennifer Burns (Becky Boyer-Burns' daughter)

Eddie, Dee and the Geddes family ...my condolences on your loss. Eddie, one look at your beautiful mother tells me exactly where you got your zest for living and reading her obituary explains why no grass grows under your feet! A life, well-lived, for certain! May God rest her soul and allow her passion for so much, continue to live on, through her family. God's peace and presence be with you all.

I wish I could be with all of you to celebrate the life of this wonderful lady. It makes me smile when I remember Shirley, mom, Joyce and Carol sitting around talking and giggling like school girls...laughing until they almost wet their pants. They were all so happy to be together. Shirley was such a special lady, tough as nails and a heart so full of love for her family. I will miss her so much. Know that my heart is there with all of you, especially you Uncle Don. Love you all, Kelli Jo

Shirley was a treasure! I have many fond memories of time spent at the store and your home with Molly. Shirley graciously allowed us to make a mess in her kitchen trying every trend from tie-dying to candle making. She laughed with us at our disasters, and always managed a miraculous rescue for a perfect finished product. My heartfelt condolences to Don and all the Geddes family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the Geddes family. I have so many memories of Shirley. She and Don gave me my first bartending job at the age of 18. What a fun time at the Hole In The Wall. When I got married Shirley made my wedding cake and was just always so very good to me. I will miss her laugh. One of the last times I really got to visit with her was at the hospital in Spearfish waiting for Don to have surgery. She and I laughed so much and were so loud Jenny was ready to kick us out of the hospital. I will miss her.
