Spencer Alan Briscoe was born May 5, 1993, in Okinawa Japan, to Sean Briscoe and Sheila Larson. Spencer was granted his angel wings on Sunday, November 12, 2017, in Rapid City, SD, at the age of 24, surrounded by family and friends. Spencer will forever be remembered and loved for his kind heart and big smile.

Spencer grew up in Sturgis, SD, and attended schools in both Sturgis and Rapid City. Spencer's infectious smile and open personality allowed him to easily make friends wherever he went. Spencer had a gift to see the good in everyone and was the first to make friends with others. Spencer shared his sincere kindness with everyone he met.

Spencer's adventurous spirit inspired him to enjoy the many activities that he could do with his friends, including hiking, rock hunting, rock climbing, and spending time at the lake. Whether it was at his construction jobs, or cooking for others at home, Spencer enjoyed being busy. Regardless of the challenge, Spencer would approach anything with a fearless attitude and his big, warm smile.

Spencer was blessed with a large, blended family and is survived by his mother, Sheila (Ryon) Larson; his father, Sean (Melissa) Briscoe; his brother, Derek (Kayla) Briscoe; sisters, Abby and Ashley Briscoe; nephew, Camden Briscoe; niece, Charli Briscoe; grandparents, Richard and Ann Briscoe, George (Judy) Gerig, Deb (Don) Steder, Dennis Tapia Sr., Lois Larson, and Jim Crockford.

Spencer was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Karen Crockford; and other family members from the Briscoe, Gerig, Tapia, Brady, and Larson families.

Memorial services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with Pastor John Tesnow officiating.
