Trenton was born June 27, 2006, at Sturgis, SD, to Kurt and Kamette (Peters) Keffeler. "Our most precious baby boy sent to us by God. We prayed for you to come and bless our lives. We had no idea how much you would do just that ... and so much more. From the moment you were born you were smothered with love, hugs, and kisses. Your brothers and sister held you whenever they could or just laid around you to watch your every move. With joy and delight they would brag about every little thing you did. They wanted to call and tell everyone when you smiled, moved, got a tooth, or any little thing you did. Called 'our cutie baby,' 'Trenty,' or 'Our family's little super star.' They also called you the most wonderful brother ever. With your so soft baby skin and extremely ticklish everything you would laugh and laugh, so would everyone around you ... grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins to name a few.

You loved to be held and snuggle in for a cuddle, yet you were full of life and energy. You would crawl or walk to try to keep up with everything that was going on. You were so content to go here, there, and everywhere to keep up with your siblings. There usually was a lot going on. Such a sweet happy baby with a huge smile that could light up an entire room and a big dimple for anyone that would even appear to be looking your way. Many people noted the amazing sparkle in your big brown eyes with enormous long lashes. You were a baby with so many facial expressions to make us all laugh. You were such a healthy strong baby most of the time and showed your great toughness and resilience after surgeries. You loved being outside, looking everywhere and taking it all in. You were and are the absolute joy of our lives. Every day of our lives was special with you in it. God blessed us by giving us a year with you, of course we wanted more time with you but, we praise him for the time he gave us. It was the best year of our lives."
