Wayne "Jim" A. Dunham age 91 of Rapid City, SD, went home to be with our Father on Wednesday November 3, 2021.
Jim served his country in the military and began his service in Sioux Falls, SD. During his time in the military, he specialized in encrypted communications while serving 2 tours in the Korean War. After retiring from the military, he drove trucks for the Mayflower moving company and enjoyed his time traveling on the open road. His true passion, however, came later on after he purchased his ranch near Newell, SD. He truly enjoyed taking care of all the animals and working the land. He did this for many years before moving to Rapid City, SD to be closer to his family.
Jim is survived by his children, Gary (Deb) Dunham of Bedford, IN, John (Nita) Dunham of Sturgis, SD, James (Michele) Dunham of Rapid City, SD, and LouAnn (Dale) Pinkerton of Deadwood SD; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Jewel Martha Dunham.
Services and burial will be at 2:30 pm on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis. Friends and family will be gathering at the Veteran's Club at 868 Main Street, Sturgis, SD, following the services.
